What Can Help
- Name your triggers: Notice when you reach: boredom, anxiety, transitions, loneliness?
- Add friction: Move apps off the home screen or use a screen-time passcode.
- Create replacement gestures: Keep a fidget object, notebook, or water bottle where the phone was.
- Use awareness delays: Wait ten seconds before unlocking and name your intention.
- Practice tolerating pauses: Let yourself be still for a minute without reaching for stimulation.
